DofE Canoeing Expeditions

No Limits Development offers DofE Expeditions by canoe at Silver and Gold level and will design a programme of canoe training and expeditions specifically for your DofE group, at locations convenient to your school.

Our programmes include training sessions covering: canoe skills, water safety and the essential packing and navigation skills required for a safe and rewarding canoe expedition. River journeys provide a unique opportunity for students to paddle along one of the classic waterways of the UK. Where they can stop for lunch breaks along the river banks & observe a variety of wildlife in its natural surroundings.

What we include

Expedition staff, campsite fees, route planning support and canoe skills training. Use of maps, tents, stoves, group first aid kit and emergency shelters.

Use of specific canoe and safety equipment – Canoes, paddles, large dry bags, buoyancy aids and throwlines etc.

What is not included

Travel to and from the expedition venue, personal food, personal equipment, or personal belongings insurance.

Expedition Areas

The rivers and waterways we use include, but are not limited to Wye, Severn, Thames, Trent, Medway, Eden, Poole Harbour, Dee and The Great Glen. We also use various lakes and canals for training purposes, meaning that we can usually find a venue close to yourselves, thus keeping travel costs down.

Expeditions are supervised by highly qualified leaders with significant experience of delivering DofE expeditions. All are passionate about canoeing and sharing their knowledge with students.
